How can we help?

About our Senior Living Community

Our Rhythm of the Day® program eases your loved one into the transition of living at Colonial Oaks. Many of our staff have been at Westchase since we opened. If your loved one is experiencing memory loss, the experienced staff at Westchase are specially trained to help. They will put you and your loved one at ease. Even though our residents are experiencing memory loss, at Colonial Oaks we value the memory they do have. We offer an array of activities, lots of outings, and wonderful entertainment.

Executive Director – Raquel Medina

Raquel Medina has been in the healthcare industry for eight years, caring for seniors with Alzheimers and Dementia. While working in healthcare, she attended Texas Health School where she became a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Raquel joined Colonial Oaks in 2016 as the Memory Care Village Director for our Katy community. The passion she has for caring for seniors and their families has been rewarding to her life in many ways.

Raquel resides in Katy, Texas with her husband of 20 years, they two daughters and a grandson. Her oldest daughter shared Raquel’s passion for seniors and is currently working to become a Registered Nurse in geriatrics.

Community Relations Director – Erinn Brown

Erinn Brown rejoined the Colonial Oaks family in July of 2018. She has 15 years of experience, spanning independent living, assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing, with seven of those years spent right here with Colonial Oaks.

She earned a bachelors degree from Stephen F. Austin State University in Gerontology. She has felt a special connection with older adults going back many years as a young child. Growing up in Katy, Texas, she was quite distance from her own grandparents in Minnesota, but she always had a couple “adopted” grandparents in her neighborhood.

Erinn’s journey lead her to this industry, and even a brief pause simply confirmed she was where she was always meant to be. She is driven to help families navigate the search for the right place for their loved one. Erinn resides in Houston with her husband and their two children.
